Randy Price is an American television newscaster with WCVB-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. Price started in 1998-200 being the lead anchor at WHDH-TV. He is considered to be the first openly gay U.S. newscaster.
He anchors live news coverage weekday mornings on WCVB Channel 5, WCVB.com, and WCVB mobile apps. Before joining WCVB Channel 5 in June 2009, Randy worked at WHDH-TV as a freelance reporter and later became a full-time anchor. Randy is set to retire on May 20, 2020.

In 1995 Randy left WBZ due to alcohol problems which included a drunk driving conviction.

Randy Price To Retire on May 20, 2020,
“I’ve enjoyed every minute of my more than 10 years anchoring the EyeOpener newscasts here at WCVB; now I’ve decided it’s time for me to step back from my career in news and start a new chapter. I look forward to enjoying different adventures in my life,” said Price.
He recently stated that his last day at the WCVB station will be Wednesday, May 20, 2020. This is his decision after working for more than four decades as a journalist.
